Athletics season is almost here! If your middle school student is interested in Girls Basketball, Baseball, or Cheer, now is the time to get registered. Tryouts begin August 11–14, and a current sports physical is required to participate.

Need a physical? 🩺 Mountain Park Health Center is offering FREE back-to-school and sports physicals, and every physical comes with a FREE backpack while supplies last!

As we settle into our routine, here’s a quick reminder:

📚 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:45 AM–3:45 PM
⏰ Wednesday (Half Day): 8:45 AM–1:25 PM

Yesterday was only the second day of school, and our 8th grade scientists were already diving into hands-on learning in Mr. Ortiz’s class! 🧪🔬

As students learned classroom routines and expectations, they also began exploring scientific phenomena through observation, questioning, and investigation. Building strong habits and scientific thinking from day one is setting the stage for an incredible year of discovery!

The first day is in the books! 🦈💙

Today was all about new beginnings- meeting classmates, getting to know teachers and staff, building classroom communities, learning routines, and setting the stage for an amazing year ahead.

We can’t wait to see all the learning, growth, and memories this school year will bring. Here’s to a great start, Shark Nation! 📚✨

Just a few reminders when picking up your students. Please talk to your kids about where they are supposed to go each day and make sure everyone is ready for a safe and smooth dismissal.

For the safety of our students, please refrain from using the parking lot directly in front of the school. The front of the school is for front gate walkers and busses only. If you are picking your student up, please line up along the side of the building by the west parking lot (near the basketball courts).

Students walking out to Cashion will walk out the back of the school and the gates will be open once our crossing guards are ready.

We are asking that all parents please wait in line, so that we can be sure all of our students are going with the correct families.

We appreciate your patience and partnership in creating a safe dismissal for all!

We can't wait to welcome our students and families back for an amazing school year!
