And just like that, another wonderful school year comes to a close at Lakin Prep Academy! ☀️ Our Leones had the best time celebrating with special classroom parties and making memories that will last a lifetime. 🎉 It was sweet and a little sad to do our favorite classroom routines for the very last time today. 📖 We wrapped up our last days with some amazing math games created by our creative sixth and seventh graders, followed by our annual teachers vs. students kickball game! ⚾️ The seventh graders took home the big win this year, but just you wait until next year... the teachers are already planning their comeback! 🏆 Have a safe and happy summer, Leones! We can’t wait for more learning to come next year!! ✏️🦁

¡Y así de fácil, otro año escolar maravilloso llega a su fin en Lakin Prep Academy! ☀️ Nuestros Leones se divirtieron al máximo celebrando con fiestas especiales en los salones y creando recuerdos que durarán para siempre. 🎉 Fue lindo y un poco triste hacer nuestras rutinas escolares favoritas por última vez hoy. 📖 Cerramos nuestros últimos días con unos increíbles juegos de matemáticas creados por nuestros creativos estudiantes de sexto y séptimo grado, seguido por nuestro partido anual de kickball de maestros contra estudiantes. ⚾️ ¡Los alumnos de séptimo grado se llevaron la gran victoria este año, pero esperen al próximo año... los maestros ya están planeando su regreso! 🏆 ¡Que tengan un verano seguro y feliz, Leones! ¡¡No podemos esperar para seguir aprendiendo el próximo año!! ✏️🦁

This week's spirit week was definitely one for the books! Our Leones had so much fun dressing up for hobby day, matching with their twins, and filling the campus with so many cute young teachers on Wednesday. We wrapped it all up with colorful color wars at field day and going completely monochromatic for color Friday!

¡La semana del espíritu escolar de esta semana definitivamente fue inolvidable! Nuestros Leones se divirtieron muchísimo vistiéndose de sus pasatiempos, combinando con sus gemelos y llenando el campus de tiernos y jóvenes maestros el miércoles. ¡Terminamos todo con unas coloridas guerras de colores en el día de campo y vistiéndonos completamente monocromáticos para el viernes de colores!

Woohoo! Field day was absolutely incredible! Our Leones had the best time playing cooperative team games and staying cool with our fun water activities. ☀️💦

Fore! Our amazing sixth and seventh grade Leones had a swinging good time at Topgolf today! We want to give a huge thank you to our wonderful PTA for their continuous support in learning and for helping to sponsor this incredible field trip. We could not do it without you!

We are so proud of our Kids at Hope from the month of April! It was also so special to celebrate Ms. Barron as our April Employee of the Month. Your hard work does not go unnoticed! Get ready, Leones, because our final Friday Assembly for May is coming up soon!

Have you noticed something a little different around school this past week? Our teachers had a secret underground spirit week to show off their Leone pride! It was so much fun seeing everyone join in on the hidden themes and check out all that school spirit.

¿Han notado algo un poco diferente en la escuela esta pasada semana? ¡Nuestros maestros tuvieron una semana de espíritu secreta para presumir su orgullo Leone! Fue muy divertido ver a todos unirse a los temas ocultos y ver todo ese espíritu escolar.

How sweet it is to be a Leone! We are just glowing from all the creative ways our PTA has honored the hard work our teachers and staff do every day. From breakfast on Monday and lunch on Wednesday to a flower bar on Thursday and a Target wish list shopping spree on Friday, our school has truly felt the impact of every kind gesture. We even got coffees this morning courtesy of the Littleton Education Foundation! Thank you to our community and our PTA for making all of these wonderful things happen.

¡Qué dulce es ser un Leone! Estamos radiantes por todas las formas creativas en que nuestra PTA ha honrado el arduo trabajo que nuestros maestros y personal realizan cada día. Desde el desayuno el lunes y el almuerzo el miércoles hasta una barra de flores el jueves y una tarde de compras de la lista de deseos de Target el viernes, nuestra escuela realmente ha sentido el impacto de cada gesto amable. ¡Incluso recibimos cafés esta mañana por cortesía de la Fundación Educativa Littleton! Gracias a nuestra comunidad y a nuestra PTA por hacer que todas estas cosas maravillosas sucedan.
