Get ready for some BUG-TASTIC fun! 🐝🦋🐞 Avondale Elementary will participate in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census on Friday, August 21! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to become citizen scientists as they observe, count, and learn about the pollinators in our community. Students and staff are invited to wear “Insect-Inspired” outfits on Friday! 🐝🦋🐞 Participation is optional. ♻️ GET CREATIVE! Students are encouraged to use their imagination and create something to wear using recyclable materials! TOMORROW, Monday, August 3 is the First Day of School for the 2026-27 school year! Drop off begins at 7:00-7:35 am. Students are dismissed to their class at 7:25 am. Breakfast is available for free, so arrive on the earlier side! Don’t be tardy by arriving at 7:45 am or later! On the website, we have a Parent Resource page with pertinent information about uniform requirements, grade level school supplies list, the Student & Parent handbook, links to nutrition menus, bus routes and transportation, and other information necessary at the start and throughout the school year: visit https://www.avondaleelementary.org/parent-resources/
