In this dynamic single-day camp, young artists learn essential visual storytelling techniques, dynamic panel layouts, and character design from working professional cartoonists. Campers explore creative writing and drawing using professional-grade art supplies, transforming their ideas into finished comic artwork to take home. Perfect for kids and teens ready to boost their drawing skills and express their unique creative voice!

For Ages 7 and up.
All materials provided.
$95 for the full-day.

3 Spots Left in Next Week's Comic Art Camp: Let's Catch Monsters

Catch them all in this week of camp as we explore monster capture and monster taming in comic books, manga, TV shows and movies. Like Pokémon! Digimon! Yu-Gi-Oh! and Yo-Kai Watch!

Campers will take inspiration from these popular characters to create their own monsters and fabricate custom trading cards from scratch.

This week of camp is partnering with Leftie Lee’s Bakery + Sandwich shop.
Chef Viv is a huge Pokémon fan and created a Pokémon trainer box lunch. Registered campers will have the option to order this lunch for just $12 per day.

The Comic Workshop is coming to Knoxville, TN!
Inviting all children ages 7 and up to our first comic workshop in Knoxville thanks to our amazing hosts: Tri-Star Arts at the historic Candoro Marble Building.

Write and draw a complete story in 8 pocket size pages. No prior drawing experience needed. All supplies provided. Instructor is local comic artist Wesley Roden.

The Comic Workshop is excited to partner with long standing comic book advocate and store My Parents Basement for 2 weeks of Summer Camps.

"Blast From the Past" Week is all about retro gaming. Campers will learn about retro comic books and animation of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

"Super Hero Classics" Week is all about the golden age of comics that brought us Batman, Superman, Captain America and more.

During this week campers will get the opportunity to dine in at My Parents Basement, play pinball machines, and explore their in-house comic collections as part of their camp experience. Custom Box lunches are available for purchase as well.
