October is RAKU month! 🎃
Glaze a pumpkin or a skull 💀luminary by Oct 23rd and you’re invited to Raku Night Oct 27th.
Watch, as your Studio 12 ceramics will be;
1) Fired in a trashcan outside. 🗑️
2) Set on fire. 🔥
3) Then dunked in water so it cracks. 💦
The results are smoky and metallic and gorgeous. Plus we will have spicy beverages.

For anyone traveling on Pea Island today- we’re bk to a single lane to give our workers space to move and rebuild dunes! It was only maybe a five minutes wait - every bit worth it for progress Everything‘s looking really good.

Headed North! Studio 12 is closed Friday 10/2 for a much-needed break. Current location shown, I’m the last one in line .9 mile from the visitor center at Pea Island. Hope that helps if anyone else is considering a trip? It’s 1:20 on Thursday. Huge shout out to our work crews on Rt 12- once again performing miracles! 
Update I was headed north only waited for one cycle of cars, took 10 minutes. Southbound looks much much longer and more time-consuming but if you don’t have to come back today, a miracle! Everything looks good considering where we’ve come from.

We are firing kilns tonight to make sure anyone who’s painting can pick up first thing tomorrow! Lining up early? Make and Take options include mosaics and shell painting. Studio 12 open 9-5 M-F and 9-3 on Friday.
