The Power of Physics

Hello everyone!

We have all seen the news from Ukraine and the large number of refugees that enter its western neighboring countries. My family and I decided to (try to) do something about it and we created a GoFundMe campaign to help bring some joy to some of the Ukrainian children that end up in Romania. I would like to invite everyone to help in the following ways:

The AP test results are in. Remember our prediction? Right on! Everyone passed and the average AP score was the highest ever (4.27/5.00) for such a large group of E&M students. Congratulations, students, for your hard work! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

It's a tradition: Power of Physics gets inspired every year by The Wonders of Physics Show. The show is presented by the faculty and students of the Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

This year, the show presented the fascinating physics behind the periodic table. Among many other details, we discovered the connection between the life cycle of a star and the red color of the barns across America.

Children at Danville Public Library learned from Lisa Kern, teacher at Avon High School and PAEMST candidate, the reasons behind the formation of tornadoes. The Power of Physics explained the mechanisms that keep the tornado going and create its shape.
