Our hearts are with Ms. Lisa as she courageously faces her battle with breast cancer. As many of you know, Ms. Lisa has touched the lives of so many children and families through her kindness, dedication, and love. Now it's our turn to surround her with the same care and support she has always so generously given to others.

👩‍🍳✨ Meet Our Chef, Ms. Lisa! ✨👩‍🍳

We are so excited to introduce Ms. Lisa, the heart behind the delicious and nutritious meals served at The Goddard School! With 28 years of experience in childcare and 26 years in professional food service, Lisa has dedicated her career to nurturing and nourishing children.

Children and cooking have always been her greatest passions. Her journey into childcare began as a single mother, where raising her own children inspired her lifelong commitment to helping little ones grow into healthy, happy individuals. In addition to her culinary expertise, Lisa spent 14 years as a paraprofessional with Toledo Public Schools, giving her a deep appreciation for how children learn, develop, and thrive.

For Ms. Lisa, mealtime is about more than serving nutritious food. It is an opportunity to provide comfort, care, and connection. Her personal motto says it best: "No child goes hungry under my watch."

💙 Supporting Our Neighbors in Need 💙

Our hearts are with the families across Hamilton County who have been impacted by the recent flooding. During challenging times like these, our community comes together to support one another.

We're proud to partner with our fellow Goddard Schools in Carmel City The Goddard School and The Goddard School to collect baby wipes for families affected by the flooding. These everyday essentials can make a big difference for parents and caregivers as they navigate the days ahead.

If you would like to help, please consider donating unopened packages of baby wipes at our school. Together, we can provide comfort, care, and support to families in our neighboring communities.

Ms. Dajsha loves watching each child’s unique personality shine and celebrating every milestone they achieve along the way. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for her is the opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s lives while building meaningful, lasting relationships with both children and their families.

We are thrilled to introduce Ms. Andrea, our Director of Education! With a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and more than 11 years of educational leadership experience, Andrea is passionate about helping schools, teachers, and students thrive.

Throughout her career, she has led successful school improvement initiatives, strengthened family engagement, and mentored teaching teams to reach their full potential. Known for her collaborative leadership style, Andrea is dedicated to developing educators, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring every child receives a high-quality educational experience.

We're excited to introduce Ms. Courtney, who has been part of The Goddard School family since 2024! After beginning her Goddard journey in Illinois, she joined our Avon team in December 2025 and brings a passion for helping children develop their language skills, independence, confidence, and curiosity.

Ms. Courtney holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Early Childhood Education and loves watching children grow, reach new milestones, and discover the world around them. She creates a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to try new things. Her favorite author is Dr. Seuss, whose imaginative stories inspire a lifelong love of reading.

We're so grateful to have Ms. Courtney as part of our school family and can't wait for the wonderful learning adventures ahead! 💙💛

We're excited to introduce Ms. Kelly and Ms. Danielle, two incredible educators who help make our Pre-K program so special!

✨ Ms. Kelly has been part of The Goddard School of Avon family since 2024 and holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She loves witnessing those exciting "lightbulb moments" when children discover something new and grow into confident, curious learners. Her favorite tradition is celebrating Graduation Day with our amazing students and families!

✨ Ms. Danielle joined our team in 2022 and brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial kitchens and catering. While she was our cook, she expressed interest in returning to school to obtain her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential to further her education as she loves the honesty and simplicity children bring to each day. "Children tend to have an honest approach to life and remind us how beautiful simplicity can be."

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
