NEBT proudly presents the world premiere of Dorianne Grey, an original full-length ballet inspired by Oscar Wilde’s timeless novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. Reimagined through a contemporary lens, this haunting new work explores the seductive pursuit of youth, perfection, and the hidden cost of vanity🪞🖤

Choreographed by acclaimed artist Christopher Fleming and featuring an original score by Dr. David Goldstein, Dorianne Grey blends powerful storytelling with striking choreography and evocative music to bring one of literature’s most compelling psychological tales to life.

Rich with drama, mystery, and unforgettable imagery, this bold new production invites audiences into a world where appearances deceive, desire consumes, and every choice leaves its mark🩰

We’re thrilled to have our dancers back in studio for the first day of the season! Rehearsals for Dorianne Grey have officially started. We are so lucky to have choreographer Christopher Fleming in studio with us for his month long residency🧑🏽‍🩰

🌟New Dancer Spotlight🌟

Please join us in welcoming our new Apprentice Emma Larson👏

Emma began her ballet training at Saugerties Ballet Center; she continued her training at
New Paltz School of Ballet under the direction of Lisa and Peter Naumann. At age 15, she was accepted to Boston Ballet School’s Summer intensive where she was invited to enroll as a student in their year-round program. As a student at Boston Ballet School, she studied classical ballet, modern and character dance. During her time at BBS, she worked as an assistant teacher, under the guidance of Luciano Aimar, the director of the school’s Children’s Program. She was also on the ballet faculty of New York State Ballet Training Academy in Rochester, NY for both the student and pre-professional divisions. Emma completed her academic studies at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase and SUNY Empire State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and dance education. Emma has also had experience dancing professionally with the American Swiss Ballet and New York State Ballet.

We are just a few short weeks away from the beginning of Season 7!✨

🌟New Dancer Spotlight🌟

Please join us in welcoming our new Apprentice Abigail Carpenter🩰

Abigail grew up in Wichita, KS and started training at 6 years old. She trained with Rogers Ballet while in Wichita, attended Colorado Ballet Academy’s Pre-Professional Division from 2022-2024 and was a member of Ballet Arizona’s Studio Company from 2024-2026. Abigail has attended summer programs at Modas Dance, Ballet Austin, Colorado Ballet Academy, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the School of Ballet Arizona. While dancing corp roles, some of her favorite performances at Colorado Ballet Academy and Ballet Arizona Studio Company include Giselle Pas de Six, Vision in Sleeping Beauty and George Balanchine’s ‘Serenade’. Abigail has also loved dancing in Natasha Adorlee’s piece titled ‘Vastwave’, Nayon Iovino’s ‘Element Garden’, Kitri in Don Quixote, pieces choreographed by Daniela Cardim and a variation from La Sylphide. She recently completed a certificate in Digital Design and is working towards a bachelors degree in psychology. Abigail is incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to be joining New England Ballet Theatre as an Apprentice this season.
