At Faith Lutheran Preschool Avon, our objective is to prepare your child for kindergarten in a caring Christian environment. Classes range from 2 to 4 days per week, and morning or afternoon sessions. Classes are for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, and a new class is for children 24-40 months. Our curriculum includes weekly themed Bible lessons, reading readiness, beginning math concepts, Science activitie

s, Music & rhythm, Arts and crafts, and indoor/outdoor structured play. We also offer Chapel on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 9 am and 12:30 pm. Parents, friends, and family are encouraged to attend Chapel.

It was a busy last night! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5! 5 chicks hatched! Welcome to Turtle, Fluffy, Sarah, Pippy and Cutie Pie! We have moved them to stretch out and snuggle under the warming plate! Hope you can catch a glimpse!

Wednesday evening! Turtle, egg #11 hatched first!

Eggs #1, 3, 5, 8, and 12 have all pipped and are working on hatching!

Watch with us as we wait for our baby chicks to hatch!

You may start to hear some peeping and even see some eggs rocking before they start hatching. When they start to hatch, they will first “pip“ a crack in the egg. Then they will “zip“ around the egg and hatch.

Chick absorb their yolk just before hatching which gives them enough energy to hatch themselves and also last a few days in the incubator before needing to have food and water. We will wait till the others hatch to open the incubator.

In God’s time! It was busy in the incubator last night. Can you guess how many chicks hatched? We’ll turn on the live feed as soon as we get those babies settled in the cage with the heating plate! Thanks for watching!
