Feature Friday...Paying Success Forward! 🌟
Some success stories don't end at graduation. Sometimes, they become an opportunity to help someone else succeed. 💙💯🧡
This Feature Friday, SFSC Adult Education is honored to recognize one of our GED® program graduates, John McDaniel, owner of All American Pool Services of Sebring, for an incredibly generous gift and an even more meaningful commitment to helping fellow adult learners achieve their dreams.
John's journey to earning his high school diploma began with a promise to his son: If his son finished school and joined the military, John would go back to school and earn his diploma, too. John kept that promise.
As a successful business owner, John didn't need a high school diploma to define his professional success. For him, earning his diploma was something more personal. It was a life goal, a promise kept, and proof that it is never too late to finish what you started.
Last week, John returned to South Florida State College, this time, not as a student... but as a graduate ready to pay his success forward.
John generously donated $1,000 to support SFSC Adult Education students experiencing financial hardship. His hope is that these funds can help remove some of the financial barriers standing between a student and their goals by assisting with expenses such as GED® exams, GED Ready® practice tests, and other support material.
For John, this gift is about more than financial assistance. It's about helping another student realize their American Dream. John chose to give back to a program that played a meaningful role in helping him and his son achieve their academic goals... and now his generosity may help another student cross the finish line.
John, on behalf of the entire SFSC Adult Education team and the students whose lives your generosity will touch, THANK YOU! Your story reminds us that success isn't only about what we accomplish for ourselves. It's also about what we make possible for others.
