💙 Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month! 💙

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and all month long, we're highlighting the importance of inclusive workplaces and celebrating individuals in our community who are gaining valuable work experience! 🌟

👏 This week's spotlight is on Thomas! (Pictured left)

Thomas has been hard at work at the Highlands County Family YMCA, assisting with janitorial duties throughout the facility, including the gym, basketball court, cycling room, offices, and hallways!

His dedication and hard work are a wonderful reminder of the importance of creating opportunities where individuals of all abilities can learn, grow, and thrive. 💪

A huge THANK YOU to the YMCA and Vocational Rehabilitation for partnering with us to provide meaningful work experiences and helping build a more inclusive workforce!

🎀 THINK PINK! 🎀

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here at Ridge Area Arc, we’re showing our support one Wednesday at a time! 💗

Every Wednesday this month, our staff and consumers are wearing PINK to help raise awareness, show support for those currently fighting, celebrate survivors, and honor those we’ve lost. 🎀

We love seeing everyone come together for a cause that touches so many lives. 💕

💗 Pink looks good on us, especially when it stands for something so important!

Week 3 of The Who I Am Foundation special needs dance class was AMAZING! 💃🕺❤️ Watching these beautiful dancers grow, laugh, make friends, and just be themselves fills our hearts! 🥰

As Miss Crissy said: “You don’t have to dance like everyone else, you just have to dance like YOU.” 💕💃
