Today is Ethan Schilens Day! Ethan has been in orchestra for eight years and plays the cello. His favorite orchestra memory is going on the orchestra tour to New York City! Ethan's favorite piece he has played is "Jupiter." After high school, Ethan plans on attending Cleveland State University. His biggest piece of advice for high school is to try your best!🎓✨🎶

Today is Sean McLean Day! Sean has been in orchestra for seven years and plays the viola. His favorite orchestra memory is competing at "Music in the Parks" at Cedar Point with his friends! Sean's favorite piece he has played is "Wizards in Winter." After high school, Sean plans on attending Cleveland State University. His biggest piece of advice for high school is to keep up with all your work so you don't have to stress about it all before it's due!🎻✨🎶

His favorite orchestra memory is competing at "Music in the Parks" and winning the awards with his friends! Cameron's favorite piece he has played is "Jupiter." Today is Averie Seedhouse Day! Averie has been in orchestra for eight years and plays the viola. Her favorite orchestra memory is going on the Cedar Point trip her junior year and winning the stuffed animals with Jenna! After high school, Averie plans on attending LCCC on the clinical RDN track. Her biggest piece of advice for high school is even if everything seems to be failing, always stay true to your character! It really is the one thing that people will remember about you!🎻💕🎶

After high school, Raegan plans on attending LCCC and then transferring to the University of Toledo. Today is Olympia Theofylaktos Day! Olympia has been in orchestra for eight years and plays the violin. Her favorite orchestra memory is going on the Cedar Point trips with her friends! Olympia's favorite piece she has played is "Music From La La Land." After high school, Olympia plans on attending Ohio University to study psychology. A huge thank you to Peggie Willett for working with our Learwood 8th graders today as they prepare for their first performance at the OMEA Middle School Adjudicated Event! As a former Avon Lake parent, former middle school orchestra teacher, and current director of the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra (NOYO), Mrs. Willett brought wonderful expertise and encouragement to our young musicians. 🎻💕

Today is Reid Gunter Day! Reid has been in orchestra for eight years and plays the violin. His favorite orchestra memory is winning the best orchestra at "Music in the Parks" and going to Cedar Point! Reid's favorite pieces he has played is "Jupiter" and "Ashokan Farewell." After high school, Reid plans on attending Miami University to study biology on the pre-med track. His biggest piece of advice for high school is to try to enjoy it because you don't know what you had until it's over.🎻✨🎶
