TONIGHT’s the night!! 🙌🏻 Please come join us in the Avoca Media Center tonight (Monday, September 28th) at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about the upcoming bond. 😊

Yale Public Schools residents will have the opportunity to consider a bond proposal on the November 3, 2026 ballot.

If approved, the proposal would authorize the district to borrow $20 million for building and site improvements. It is projected to result in a ZERO MILL net increase over the 2025 debt levy. The bonds would be paid off over 14 years.

The project list was developed from two facility assessments, a community survey, staff and student focus groups, and five community meetings held between fall 2024 and late fall 2025.

There are three community meetings to learn more about this proposal:

Monday, September 21st at 6:30 p.m. at the Emmett Village Office
Monday, September 28th at 6:30 p.m. in Avoca Elementary's Media Center
Monday, October 5th at 6:30 p.m. in Yale Elementary's Media Center

Attention all Yale Public Schools' Elementary Basketball players. We are excited to announce that the Port Huron Area Schools' basketball league is once again allowing Yale Public Schools' students to participate in their 1st-6th grade boys and girls basketball league. The Yale basketball coaching staff supports Yale Public Schools' players participating in this league, as it is a tremendous learning league that assists with player development. Our students will be placed on Yale teams coached by Yale Public Schools' community members. Practices will be at YPSD elementary buildings, usually once a week. Games will be at Port Huron school buildings on Saturdays in November and December (exact dates can be found on the provided link). If your child would like to participate, please visit www.phasdbasketball.com to register. Registration is due by September 25th. When registering, be sure to select "Yale" from the drop down menu when selecting a school. This will ensure your child will be placed on a Yale Public Schools team. All payments are made during the registration process and go directly to Port Huron Area Schools. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Coach Kohler at [email protected] or Coach Leonard at [email protected]. We'd love to have enough participants to have a boys and girls team(s) for each grade level 1st through 6th. Go Dogs!
