Our Kindergarten class concluded the school year with a fabulous play: Superkids- The Glum Princess performed for parents & friends. It showcased their reading skills and fun personalities. Great work!

4th-grade Pioneer Day in their one-room "schoolhouse". What a fun day!! Students picked new "pioneer" names and received desk assignments by grade level (1st through 8th grade). They worked on arithmetic and grammar using their slates. After that, they went outside and made lanterns, tied knots, and cross-stitched. After their picnic lunch, they played marbles, red rover, baseball, and tag as well as made corn husk dolls. Last but not least, they made butter and wrote with dip pens with metal nubs.

May is a month to celebrate the gift of motherhood. Mother’s Day reminds us to honor our own mothers, but the entire month is a time to honor our spiritual mother, Mary. Today, we honored our Blessed Mother by crowning her as our Queen. Students in Grades 2 and 8 participated in the crowning. Grade 1 students led us in song, signing and singing the words to “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman.”

Mrs. Garman’s First Grade class enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to DeBrand’s Fine Chocolates! Students learned about the Cacoa tree and cocoa beans and pods, as well as how they transform into chocolate. They were able to witness the chocolatiers in action in the specialty kitchens detailing the chocolate making process. The students graphed their favorite desserts and also discussed needs, wants and economic choices. They were happy to sample the delicious gourmet chocolates!

Last week, our students hosted a Cultural Fair at St Mary. They researched Spanish-speaking countries, created colorful display boards, and shared everything they learned with guests. The students were especially excited for the opportunity to share foods and games inspired by their countries.
We are so proud of their effort, creativity, and teamwork throughout this project. Thank you Senora Fransys for organizing this event!
Our preschool class also hosted a Pre-K Art Exhibition for the evening. It was a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy the wonderful artwork created by our youngest students.
