Exciting news—our classroom is getting new pets tomorrow! 🦀

We’re welcoming a group of hermit crabs to our classroom! They’ll be the perfect addition to our Summer Ocean Unit, giving the children a hands-on way to explore marine life and deepen their curiosity about ocean habitats.

Our new classroom friends will also help the children build important developmental skills, including responsibility, empathy, teamwork, observation, communication, and caring for living things. Through daily care routines and close observation, they’ll practice making predictions, asking questions, and learning through real-life experiences.

Stay tuned to find out what the children decide to name our newest classroom members! We can’t wait to share their creative ideas with you!

Our preschool teaching team and MPHealth clinic team recently enjoyed a fun night together at the Iration concert!
Thanks to the generosity of one of our amazing preschool parents, we were treated to tickets and VIP service—such a thoughtful gift. It was a great chance to step away from our routines, enjoy great music, and connect as a team.
We had an amazing time! Huge thank you- we truly feel so appreciated!

Today in Holly's class they began our Summer Solstice Celebration! In honor of the summer Solstice, the kids made a "Sun Banner", they learned about the longest day of the year and why it is meaningful, and they enjoyed the fruits of summer with a strawberry angel food cake! They will be celebrating the summer Solstice in various ways the rest of the week. 🍓🎂🌎☀️✨️

A preschool parent from Guinea 🇬🇳 visited our school to share their culture through traditional drumming and dancing. The children loved the music and enjoyed moving their body’s to the rhythm! This came as an extension of learning as our PreK class learned about Africa in their travel unit!

Yesterday, our PreK class had a truly special experience! We welcomed a tea sommelier who introduced the children to a beautiful Japanese tea ceremony. 🍵

The students were completely engaged—watching, listening, and participating with such focus and curiosity. It was wonderful to see them so calm, intentional, and respectful as they explored a new culture and tradition.

Experiences like these create meaningful moments of learning that go far beyond the classroom. We’re so grateful to have shared such a fabulous day together!

Our Fabulous teacher Holly hand rolled Sushi for her class to try today during their exploration of Japan! What a wonderful way to incorporate trying new foods, fine motor practice with chop sticks, and learning about a new culture! On Thursday her class will be having a beautiful traditional Japanese tea ceremony. We’re so jazzed about all these wonderful new learning experiences!

Thoughtfully designed classroom play spaces spark curiosity and meaningful learning. When we create inviting environments with open-ended materials and simple provocations, we encourage children to explore, question, collaborate, and imagine. A well-prepared space becomes a “third teacher,” nurturing creativity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning through play.
