Tomorrow's the day! Last year, Averill Park High School boasted a 98% graduation rate, soaring past the state average!

Live bus tracking will not be available to start the school year via Stopfinder. While our drivers train with the new tablet system, we want to avoid bad data going to the parents that could be inaccurate. Once the drivers are comfortable and the data is reviewed as "clean" on a daily basis, the transportation department will reach back out and activate the live tracking feature.

REMINDER: APHS fields closed Sunday

Averill Park CSD Community,
Please be aware that a grub infestation exists on the Averill Park High School athletic fields, which may lead to unsafe field conditions. To remedy this, the District will apply a selective pesticide on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

All fields and the track at Averill Park High School will be closed for 24 hours following the application. The facilities will re-open on Monday, September 7. The tennis courts will remain open throughout the process.

New York State Education Law, Section 409-H requires schools to provide written notification regarding actual or potential use of pesticides throughout the school year. We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep our community informed if any further action is needed.

As always, we put a high priority on the health and safety of our students and staff members.

Algonquin Middle School earned the prestigious Whole Child Award from NYSASCD last season. The honor recognizes academic success alongside students' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Kicking off the final weekend of summer by showing off our Capital Project progress from this summer! At Averill Park High School, the canopy was restored and re-painted. At Algonquin Middle School, substantial work included paving and a new-look auditorium.
