Help us to thank our amazing teachers and staff at Averill Park High School! The APHS Staff/Teacher Appreciation breakfast will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 in the high school cafeteria 6:30am-8:30am. We are looking for volunteers to help us set up, serving during that time, and cleanup. We are also looking for donations of breakfast items (homemade or store-bought), gift cards, gift baskets, and small plants- anything to raffle off to the staff. Click the link below to sign up. We appreciate your help in showing our teachers and staff how much they mean to us and our students!! It is best to drop non-perishable items off to the main office the day before the event or hot items can be dropped off (crockpots work great!) the day of the event by 6:30 AM at the latest!! Please label anything that needs to get back to you like crockpots/containers.

Hello APHS families! The APHS Parent Group is gearing up for our next kindness event. We will be stocking the staff lounge with cookies and treats. Please be on the lookout for an email from Mr. Quiles next week with the sign-up. It will be shared to this page as well next weekend. The cookie event will be delivered to APHS on December 16. Details to follow! In the meantime, we hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

💛💙 The first delivery day was a success! Lots of snacks and treats (and of course coffee) were dropped off at the APHS staff lounge and main office kitchen... even some goodies to the bus garage. Thanks so much to all who donated! Watch your emails and this page in about a month for the next opportunity to spread some cheer! 💙💛

Today was the last APHS Parent Group kindness event for '23/'24.

One of our amazing parents ( Sarah Zouky Diamond ) is a caterer and she and her husband donated a BBQ chicken and fixings meal, which they grilled on site, for the faculty and staff to take home. If I heard it once today, I heard it many times, how much of a difference this group has made for the amazing folks at the high school.

And happily, four members have stepped forward to lead the APHS Parent Group as my son is graduating and I step out. Thank you to Sarah Diamond, Karen Juneau, Kate Thorsen and Melissa Romer. This group is in great hands moving forward!

Small acts of kindness have a profound resonance! Thank you one and all! 💛💙
