This was in response to me sharing that my daughter watched Mrs. Doubtfire with me when she was 5 or 6 years old. Her dad and I got divorced when she was about 2 and by the time she was 5 she was grasping the concept of what divorce meant. This movie helped her feel seen. It also evoked many feeling in all of us. Sadness, grief, joy, love, gratitude. Trying to lean in instead of runaway is my favorite approach đ©”
One of my favorite episodes to date because we tap into the taboo world of infertility and ambiguous loss. This subject runs near and dear to my heart as most of you know that both my babies are IVF babies and I know firsthand how the infertility process encompasses us.

Instead of making her move quickly for literally zero reason (other than thatâs how my brain has been programmed) Who was the one having trouble moving more slowly?
In these 8 minutes She taught me that we donât have to always be DOING. We can just be BEING.
Additionally, they donât always need us to talk. Silence is often uncomfortable but sometimes, in a space of love and security, can be the most comforting and non pressured thing.
