BHA and their discussions about Shavuot.
We learned about the “argument of the mountains” and why Hashem chose Har Sinai.

We discussed the character traits of pride and humility.
The children gave examples of different sentences, and together we decided whether each sentence showed pride or humility.

We also continued preparing beautiful flower bouquets in honor of the holiday. 🌸

Color Magic with Red Cabbage

The Invitation to Explore

Today the children were invited to explore a colorful science experiment using red cabbage. Each child received a piece of cabbage and carefully tore it into smaller pieces, placing them into their own bowls. The children explored the texture of the cabbage with curiosity and excitement.

What Will Happen?

Warm water was poured into the bowls. The children mixed the cabbage and water with their hands and watched closely. Slowly the clear water began to change color, turning into a beautiful light purple.

The children were amazed to discover that the cabbage had color hidden inside it.
Color Transformation

We poured the purple water into clear cups so everyone could see the color clearly. Then the children added drops of lemon juice.

Suddenly the color changed again — the purple water turned bright pink!

A Bubbling Surprise

For the final step the children added baking soda. Tiny bubbles appeared and the children watched the reaction with great excitement as the color changed again.

🥕🍓 “How do I get my child to eat more fruits and veggies?”
At gan today, our little chefs had the best answer… let them help! 👩‍🍳✨

When children wash, peel, and cut (with kid-safe tools!) their own fruits and vegetables, something magical happens — they get curious, confident, and SO proud of their creations. And guess what? That pride often turns into big bites and happy munching! 😄🥒🍑

Hands-on food prep builds independence, motor skills, and a positive relationship with healthy foods. Plus… it’s adorable. Just look at our mini sous-chefs in action! 👀💛

At home, try letting your child:
🍉 Wash produce in a small bowl of water
🥕 Tear leafy greens or herbs
🍌 Slice soft fruits with a kid-friendly knife
🌽 Help arrange a colorful “rainbow plate”

Small tasks = big confidence. Big confidence = more fruits and veggies eaten! 🌈👏

Thank you Hashem for another beautiful month at BH ACADEMY. We all took the time to reflect on what we are thankful for, our friends, moms, dads, grandma and grandpa, toys, food, everything you can think of. Take a moment to say thank you hashem!!

Nature adventures in K-1, with the beautiful sunshine and fall leaves, Kindergarteners ventured outside to collect leaves for a hands on project.

Family Shabbat in PK4
Today we welcomed our wonderful parents into the classroom to experience Family Shabbat the PK4 BHA way!
We lit candles, gave tzedakah, drank grape juice, and enjoyed a fun pizza party together. 🍕✨

Parents sang along with us, shared the joy of Shabbat songs, and even baked fluffy challah to take home. 🕯🍇🍞

It was a truly special time of connection, laughter, and community.
We can’t wait to see you at the next one! 💙✨
