There are different methods to identify the central sulcus based on morphologic features. The inverted omega sign, k**b sign and hook sign are options to describe the most usual shape of the central sulcus using axial-plane images. The “hook” analogy is useful to remember that it also localizes the hand motor area in most of cases.
