At The Music Note, our instructors are voice teachers, not simply voice coaches. Our teachers are trained in vocal pedagogy and understand how the voice works, allowing us to develop healthy, effective, and sustainable singing techniques that students can use for a lifetime. While a voice coach may focus primarily on learning and preparing individual songs, our lessons build the complete musician. Students learn proper vocal technique as well as music-reading and sight-singing skills, giving them the ability to confidently sing from sheet music rather than relying solely on recordings or imitation. Beyond weekly lessons, our students have opportunities to work with active Broadway performers through our competition circuit, and each year The Music Note hosts master classes with university voice professors. Whether a student sings for enjoyment or hopes to pursue music professionally, our goal is to give them the technique, musicianship, and experiences they need to become confident, independent singers.
