I wrote something today that I think you need to read.

It's about why so many homestead families work hard every season and still feel like they're spinning their wheels.

It's about mentorship. About sequence. About the difference between putting a tree in the ground and actually building something permanent.

And at the end of it — there's one opening to work with me directly.

Read the post first. If it resonates, I'd love to support you

In this post I am going to break down the design of my own home, as a teaching instrument and crash course on Passive Solar Home Design, for you Permaculture Enthusiasts that are stuck on Gardening, and havent yet applied it to Modern Housing, or those of you who are ready for some more thinking, and want a real case study.

This will be an incredible resource for anyone currently building your own home, buying land and intending to build, or who have already started and have been dabbling with the idea of being more sustainable but not yet understood how.

At the end, I’ve included a link to a free tool I’ve built for you for our premium substack subscribers:

In a world where everything real is being used to make something artificial, be the one using something artificial to put people back into whats real.

I.e. stop working with your hands and than spending all your time online.

INDEPENDENT AMERICAN Families are the Back Bone of American Freedom. When we own the source of our families Food, Water, And Shelter, no one can hold them over our heads for any reason. And when we are capable of Home Based Business, producing a surplus from our own lands and resources, Our local community economy can EXPLODE into barter and trade networks capable of circular ecosystems.

Happy INDEPENDENCE Day! Heres what nobody told you about Independence Day:

In 1775 (NOT 1776) the declaration that went out across the united colonies, was declaring our grievances against Britain and the cause for Taking Up Arms to protect and preserve our FREEDOMS, and LIBERTIES by force if necessary.

This was soon followed with exactly that, and in 1776 the Declaration of Independence Birthed the America we know today. But heres the catch; it is EERILY similar to what our government's doing, nearly word for word, TODAY.

The authors argued that the government had:

- Taxed Americans without representation.
- Taken their property without consent.
- Enforced laws without American representation.
- Denied jury trials.
- Suspended American governments.
- Restricted trade.
- Quartered soldiers in civilian communities.
- Declared martial law.
- Used military force against civilians.
- Seized privately owned fi****ms.
- Protected government officials from accountability.
- Claimed unlimited authority over the American people.

In the following writing, I asked AI to summarize the full declaration of causes, and than, with no other edits, I replaced "Colonies" with Americans and "Britain" with government.

THIS hits different:

The document known as the "Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms", predates the Declaration of Independence by almost exactly one year. Rather than declaring independence, it explains why Americans believed they were justified in taking up arms while still hoping for reconciliation with the government.

The document identifies numerous rights that Americans believed had been violated, the year before the official declaration of independence:

1. Self-government / Consent of the governed

- The government claimed authority to legislate for Americans without American representation.
- They objected to taxation without consent.
- Quote:
«"They have undertaken to give and grant our money without our consent."»

2. Property rights

- The government taxed Americans and seized property.
- The military confiscated arms and possessions.
- Property was taken without local consent or due legal process.

3. Trial by jury

- The document condemns laws:
- extending admiralty courts
- depriving Americans of jury trials
- It calls trial by jury an "inestimable privilege."

4. Due process

- Americans could be transported to England for trial.
- Government officials accused of killing Americans were protected from prosecution.

5. Representative government

- American legislatures were suspended.
- American charters were altered without consent.

6. Freedom from arbitrary rule

- The government declared it could legislate "in all cases whatsoever."
- The authors viewed this as unlimited governmental power.

7. Security of home and property

- Troops were quartered among civilians during peacetime.
- Military occupation of towns such as Boston was condemned.

8. Freedom of commerce

- Ports were closed.
- Trade with other American communities and foreign nations was prohibited.

9. Right to keep and possess arms

- After Boston residents surrendered their weapons under agreement, government authorities seized them permanently.
- The authors describe this as a betrayal of honor and treaty obligations.

10. Freedom from martial law

- Government officials declared martial law and labeled Americans rebels and traitors.

11. Right to life and personal security

- The document cites the killings at Lexington and Concord as unjustified attacks.
- It also references the burning of Charlestown and civilian suffering.

12. Civil and religious liberty

- Early Americans are described as having settled America seeking "civil and religious freedom."
- The authors argue that these liberties were now under threat.

13. Right to resist tyranny

- This is the central philosophical claim of the document.
- It argues government exists to secure the welfare of the people, not to exercise unlimited domination.
- When government becomes tyrannical, resistance is justified.

Core grievances summarized

The authors argue that the government had:

- Taxed Americans without representation.
- Taken their property without consent.
- Enforced laws without American representation.
- Denied jury trials.
- Suspended American governments.
- Restricted trade.
- Quartered soldiers in civilian communities.
- Declared martial law.
- Used military force against civilians.
- Seized privately owned fi****ms.
- Protected government officials from accountability.
- Claimed unlimited authority over the American people.

Historical significance

This document is especially important because it demonstrates that in July 1775 Americans were not yet seeking independence. They explicitly state:

«"We have not raised armies with ambitious designs of separating from Great-Britain, and establishing independent states."»

Their stated objective at that point was to defend what they viewed as their traditional rights as British subjects. Only after reconciliation failed did the Continental Congress adopt the Declaration of Independence, which formally declared the United States to be independent.
