Saddened to have learned about the passing of former Fitch teacher, Drivers Ed teacher, and Hall of Fame Cross Country/Track coach Mike Garcia. Coach passed away on Saturday, October 7. His obituary can be read below. He was a great man who made many positive contributions to Fitch High School. Please share your memories in the comments.

If somehow you missed it, last Friday we lost a longtime stalwart of the Fitch community, former band director Larry Snell. His services are Saturday morning at 10:30 am at Austintown Community Church. You can listen to some of the outcomes of his amazing direction below. Saw this on the Vindicator's website today - Austintown students in grades 6-12 will have access to Chromebooks to use in classes and at home to complete their schoolwork. Check out the story to learn about the deployment. Great to see the schools leveraging technology to aid their students in learning.

Falcons win 15-3 to become 8-2 and advance to the 2nd round of the Division I football playoffs. They'll play the winner of Westerville Central and Solon next Saturday. Go Falcons!

Fitch football went to Massillon tonight and left with a win over the #1 ranked Tigers 34-33. Fitch moves to 5-1 on the season and takes on Youngstown East next week. Way to go Falcons!
