Join us Thursday March 13, 6:00pm at Fitch High School for the Austintown Fitch Speech and Debate Team's annual Speech Night! All of the state qualifiers will be performing their cuts. Admission is FREE! There will be a bake sale and basket raffle to benefit the team, however. This is the only chance to see them perform in the public this year, so take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for a fun night of entertainment. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to the following members of the Austintown Fitch Speech and Debate Team who placed at the Ohio High School Speech League's State Tournament, held in Wooster, Ohio on February 28 – March 1, 2014:

• Prose Poetry – Jensen Hykes - 6th Place; Rachael Wyant - 5th Place

• Impromptu Speaking – Robyn Minkewicz - 4th Place

• Duo Interpretation – Jarrett Kerpsack and Logan Pasqual – 3rd Place

The team brought home a State of Ohio plaque for 6th Place out of the state for scoring 38 points.

All Speech and Debate Team members save the date October 3rd at 4:00! We will be having a mandatory team mixer to learn information for this year and play games!! It's going to be a lot of fun, and remember it's MANDATORY!!!!

• Lincoln Douglas Debate - Josh Pittman - Semi Finalist

• Oratorical Interpretation - Christian Roberts - 6th Place; Albert Jordan - 1st Place

• Duo Interpretation - Logan Pasqual and Jarrett Kerpsack - 1st Place

The team brought home a State of Ohio plaque for 5th Place, out of 81 schools, for scoring 36 points. Thanks for a great season! See you all on Speech Night, which is March 14, 2013 at Austintown Fitch High School at 6:00pm.
