🎃 Fall Math Fun!

Mrs. Mazzella’s 2nd grade class worked collaboratively in groups to find efficient ways to count their pumpkin seeds! Along the way, they practiced estimating, counting, and understanding place value, discovering that 10 groups of 10 equal 100 and 10 groups of 100 equal 1,000.

The grand total? 1,759 pumpkin seeds!

Show your Falcon pride and support our JROTC program with a new JROTC blanket!

Blanket Sizes & Prices:
• 50” x 60” --$20
• 60” x 70”--$23

All proceeds from the sale will support JROTC activities, including clothing and travel expenses not covered by the Air Force program, field trips, ceremonies, dances, dinners and other JROTC functions. Funds will also help purchase equipment.

Our elementary students enjoyed a visit from our Austintown firefighters today! 🚒

Firefighters brought their trucks and talked with students about their jobs, fire safety, and how they help our community. Students also had the chance to see the trucks up close and ask questions.

Our smallest Falcons had a great time at Zoo-2-go yesterday! 🐖 🐐They loved getting up close with all the animals!

The countdown to testing is on!

Just like a team preparing for the big game, our Falcons are practicing, checking their progress, and getting ready for what’s ahead. Benchmark assessments help teachers see what students know, identify where they may need extra support, and adjust instruction along the way so when state testing comes along, our students are ready!
