This weekend we certified six new Texas WILD Ones! These facilitators have so many ideas to bring Project WILD back to their communities and we can't wait to get their first workshops scheduled.

As fall migration approaches for the best-known butterfly, we encourage to learn more about monarchs by reading Robert Pyle's Chasing Monarchs: Migrating with the Butterflies of Passage.

This is also a great time of year to play 'Monarch Marathon' from Project WILD and help your students understand more about the multi-generational migration that happens crosses Texas each year.

On this WILD Wednesday, we encourage you to try Project WILD's 'Here Today, Gone Tomorrow' activity where students learn more about wildlife's status classifications and how to gauge vulnerability to population decline.

We welcomed three new facilitators to the WILD network this weekend at Padre Island National Seashore. Thanks to Ranger Sarah for hosting this training and sharing her experiences hosting a WILD workshop this summer. We love to see our network grow.
