💛👏 Congratulations to our final Teacher of the Week of the year, Mr. Horne! 👏💛
Ms. Rivas passed the Teacher of the Week belt along to 5th grade teacher Mr. Horne! She recognized the strong relationships he builds with students all across the school each and every day. Whether he’s greeting students in the hallway, playing rock-paper-scissors, or simply taking time to connect, Mr. Horne makes students feel seen, valued, and excited to be at school.
His positive energy and dedication to building community make a lasting impact on our Roadrunners. We are proud to celebrate Mr. Horne as our final Teacher of the Week for this school year—and we can’t wait for him to kick off this special tradition again in August!

Yesterday, our River Oaks Elementary 5th grade students celebrated an exciting milestone as they participated in their 5th grade Graduation Ceremony and Talent Show! We are so proud of all the hard work our students have put into learning and growing as both students and individuals throughout the year.
The dedication and effort they showed while preparing songs, dances, and other routines for the talent show was truly incredible to see. Their confidence, creativity, and teamwork made the day so special for everyone involved.
We look forward to continuing to watch our students grow and succeed, and we wish them all the best as they begin their middle school journey next year.
A special shoutout and kudos to our 5th grade teachers — Ms. Lashus, Mr. Horne, Mr. Nieves, and Mr. Del Bosque — for their dedication, encouragement, and support throughout the year. Your hard work has made a lasting impact on these students!
Once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner!

🎓✨ Congratulations to the River Oaks Elementary Kindergarten Class of 2026! ✨🎓
On Monday, our kindergarten students celebrated a very special milestone — their Kindergarten Graduation! We are so proud of each and every student for all they have learned, accomplished, and overcome this school year.
Kindergarten is the foundation of a child’s educational journey. It is where many children experience school for the very first time — learning how to be students, make friends, share kindness, build confidence, and develop important social skills that will last a lifetime.
This year, our students learned to read, write, count, add, subtract, and so much more. They grew academically, socially, and emotionally each and every day.
A special thank you to our amazing kindergarten teachers — Ms. Balbuena, Ms. Ruiz, Ms. Wright, and Ms. Rivas — for the love, patience, encouragement, and dedication they pour into their students daily. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom. ❤️
Congratulations again to our kindergarten graduates! We cannot wait to see all the wonderful things you accomplish in the years ahead.
