The 5A Social Studies State medalist…Edgar Rangel!! Congratulations 🎉

Social studies team, journalism team and the “Socialism” team (as they have dubbed themselves). 😂. State competition today!! Go Bobcats!!!

Hallsville High School's UIL Academic Team brought home their 16th consecutive District Sweepstakes Championship. 1st Place Hallsville had 568 points and the 2nd place team had 364 points. We had 7 first place teams and 11 individual district champions. Notable among those were freshmen district champions Jacob Platner (accounting) and Christian Gitogo (LD debate). Also noteworthy, of the approximately 4500 students that competed in Calculator Applications (1A - 6A), sophomore, Brennen Ashley, had the highest score in the state!

I am so very proud of my current issues and events and social studies teams!!! They both brought home 1st place team and 1st place individuals. Some left before I could snap team pics but I’ll get them congratulations to Jose Juarez, Robert Underwood, Broddie Whittle and Madden Mason in CIE, and Edgar Rangel, Chloe Hx, Hudson Daub and August Workman. I’m a blessed coach and proud to be a Bobcat!!

Hallsville HS UIL Academics wins 15th consecutive District Championship.

UIL Academics competed in the District meet Friday and Saturday. They came away with a convincing win and will be sending many teams and individuals to the region meet in April.
