On Friday, the DFS Symposium explores how arts-integrated professional learning can be used to drive educational improvement from within. Through key notes, panel discussions, research talks, and workshops, participants will explore the impact of arts-integrated learning design, facilitation and research in K-12, university and arts organization contexts.

On Saturday, the DFS Symposium focuses on the use of drama-based pedagogy and arts-integrated practice in K-12, university and arts organization classrooms. Beginning with a youth-centered keynote, participants will engage in hands-on discussions, workshops and model lessons as we explore the future of Drama for Schools and beyond.

Admission Details
One day registration: $50. Two day registration: $100.

Light breakfast and lunch provided. Parking available if needed.

You are invited to participate in this year's ACTR election. Voting will remain open through February 4, 2026, 23:59 EST.

On the ballot you will find three types of candidates:

Candidates for the Board of directors, 2026-2029;
Candidates for the graduate student position on the Board of directors, 2026-2028;
Candidates for the positions of ACTR president and vice president, 2026-2028.
The results will be announced at the ACTR Annual Membership Meeting, February 11, 7-9 pm EST.

Candidate profiles are available on the Candidate Profile page, password protected. You will need to log in using your ACTR password to see the profiles and to vote.

Nomination procedures are outlined on the Nominations to the ACTR Board of Directors page.

To vote, you must be an active member of ACTR. You can renew your membership here.

Voting is anonymous. No identifying personal information or email addresses will be collected.

Join is for the next Teachers' Lounge this semester!

This Teachers’ Lounge will focus on strategies to foster spontaneous interaction and language production in language classrooms. We will explore techniques to encourage authentic communication, including role-playing, task-based activities, and improvisational exercises. Participants are encouraged to share tools and resources to create dynamic, interactive learning environments conducive to speech production that inspire student confidence and fluency through meaningful, unscripted language use.
