Adore my students, crazy about the staff, love my district. Really feel I have stumbled into a lucky situation and am working alongside people who fight hard for kids.

NEVERTHELESS, trying to serve kids in a public school system under the direction of legislators with misplaced priorities and unions who need to just focus on kids, schools, staff, and local communities makes me feel like someone trying to create a feast in the midst of a famine.

If you truly care about kids, fund their schools. If you care about kids, maybe spend the bulk of your time allotted to schools to do things that actively meet educational needs.

It's Back to School time, which means I am back to looking over my shoulder and saying the uncomfortable things.
