Austin Film Festival's Claymation Creations camp introduces students ages 9–12 to the exciting world of stop-motion animation. Using cameras, clay, and beginner-friendly software, campers learn how to tell stories frame by frame while developing original characters and building miniature worlds. Throughout the week, students work together to design storyboards, create sets out of clay, animate their scenes, and edit their films. With a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on lab time, campers explore visual storytelling, movement, animation, and filmmaking in a fun and collaborative environment. By the end of each week-long session, campers complete a Claymation project and receive a link to their group's finished film. No previous animation or video editing experience is required.
