As a former teacher and always supporting my wife as a preschool teacher, I have published "LETTERS - An Alphabet Primer" on Amazon.

Preschoolers play and learn through association. Associative learning involves several different types of cognitive processes. It is a learning that takes place when two elements are connected in our brain. (blog.cognifit.com)

In this book, LETTERS, they will begin to recognize the alphabet as a collective pool that produces words in conjunction with visuals. The repetitive nature of the alphabet from page to page reinforces recognition of its order as letters are highlighted (“taken”) to make words as they relate to their visuals.

The red letters ... per word ... standing out in the pool of the other white letters create a realization that they come from this same pool to make different words.

Still working with the idea to incorporate "SDGA" artworks as an alphabet primer for preschoolers to not only begin to learn "letters", but also develop an appreciation for color schemes that create/comprise art, and in this case ... Abstraction.

As a former teacher of youth, I have always felt that they could multitask, and deal with simultaneous concepts ... no matter their age. After all, infants are in a constant stage of multitasking as they absorb their surroundings.

2012-2013:

Facebook Search/Research - Immigration: Immigration is in the news as the American Congress deals with this issue in the context of an estimated 11 million immigrants who are in the United States illegally. Seventh grade students were tasked to search/research Immigration via Facebook, and then copy/paste their findings along with their comments into Microsoft Word to create a report. The exercise was a "one-shot" approach involving a 50-minute time period (per class) to also instill work ethic, time-management concerns and responsible behavior for delivering a product (report) within a time constraint or deadline.
