Congratulations to all students who stepped up and performed in ASTACAP!
Through this experience, lots of students received meaningful feedback from experienced adjudicators and had the chance to grow as performers. It was so rewarding to see their confidence, presence, and musicality shine- along with the clear enjoyment they brought to the stage.
A special thank you to Cecilia Nguyen for her leadership in organizing this event, along with Natalie Reitzes and Tina Zhao for their support.
Your dedication and care for your students do not go unnoticed.
What a groove!! Love it! Have you ever seen string instruments jazz things up like this? Certainly not as often as it should be!
So fun to see through the lens of two of our String Project’s dedicated teachers, AJ Marks and Liam Cao, in a developed curriculum, using call and response- a technique rooted in jazz.
With that kind of repetition and energy, they’ll definitely have their jazz head section clean and ready for their solo improvisations! 🎻✨

Miss Cecelia, Miss Natalie, Miss Courtney, and Miss Adriana truly dazzled at the American String Teachers conference in San Francisco this week! They gained invaluable knowledge, shared their expertise, and showcased their talents while embracing the city's charm and proudly representing UT with poise and sophistication! They are so excited to bring all they learned back to our string project classrooms!!! We couldn't be prouder of them and are also deeply grateful to our other String Project teachers who covered classes to make this trip a reality. Until next year…. 🤘🏻🎻🧡🤍
