Coach Lexi Bechtel. Congratulations Coach Bechtel!

Congratulations to Scotty Abbgy! Mr. Abbgy was named the 25-26 BCMS Teacher of the Year.

💫 Student Spotlight: Bee Cave Middle School 7th grader Farisha S. earned second place at the Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair and will advance to the Texas Science and Engineering Fair in College Station on March 27-28.

🧪 Farisha chose to study the effects of bioplastics on water properties. She shares, “The most challenging part was actually making the bioplastic because if I made it too acidic, it would throw the results off. I had to find the appropriate ratio that would match a real bioplastic you would find in the world.” She adds, “Learning how to present and analyze results—I feel like I grew a lot during this experiment.”

👏 Thank you to the Lake Travis Education Foundation for sponsoring elementary and middle school science fairs this year. We’re grateful to offer these unique STEM opportunities to our young scientists.
