Start the school year with clean hands and healthy habits! Learn simple ways students and families can help prevent the spread of germs and keep our school community healthy.

Transcript: Hi, students and families! Welcome back to a new school year! As we all come back together after summer, we also have more opportunities for germs and illnesses to spread.
One of the simplest ways we can help protect ourselves and others is by washing our hands. Remember to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds -- especially before eating, after using the restroom, and afrer coughing or sneezing.
Remember to cover your coighs and sneezes or use tissues. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, and let an adult know if you're not feeling well.
Families, please help reinforce these healthy habits at home and keep students home when they're sick.
Together, we can help prevent the spread of germs and keep our school community healthy. Let's start the school year with clean hands and healthy habits!

Registration Day went wonderfully!

The check-in process flowed smoothly, and most of our residential students were successfully checked in. It was wonderful to see the students so happy to be back on campus and excited to start the new school year.

We’re off to a great start!

We are so excited to welcome you back! For those who has not registered yet, please complete by August 14.

For residential students: Please do not forget to upload the proof of your current address with the utility bill, such as: cable bill, electric bill, and/or phone bill. Or, the lease agreement.

Dorm Check-In:
When: August 16 (Sunday)
Time: 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Where: AWC

If you do not complete the registration by August 16, it means that when the school starts on August 17, your child(ren) cannot come. It is final.

So, please complete the registration ASAP!

The Family Services team would like to share our appreciation and recognize members of our campus community who made it a successful summer! In order to effectively run a program of this magnitude, it requires constant collaboration with the understanding that sometimes hurdles happen and having such a great support system around us made navigating these hurdles very easy.

As a result of the support we had this summer, we successfully hosted Family Weekend Retreat with 47 families, two Drivers Education courses with 18 students, and six Summer Camps with a total of 118 campers. A huge recognition to Marcus Sylvester and Shakira Mason for their extremely hard work coordinating the different camps in June!

The Executive Leadership Team: without the support of these key individuals, our Summer Camps/Programs could not have happened.

We appreciate you (certain individuals) for all of your help ensuring that our staff had access to the right buildings, last minute requests were filled, TFC support with clean up, and your overall patience with handling so many moving parts throughout the month. Thank you!

Student Life: the Student Life/Student Development team graciously allowed us to use the campus living spaces in order to house our families and campers throughout the entire month of June. In addition, the use of the facilities allowed us to provide our guests/campers an unforgettable summer experience! Thank you!

Transportation: The entire Transportation team deserve high praise for their patience throughout the scheduling, rescheduling process of making sure that our camps had the means to travel throughout the entire summer camp month. Thank you!

Business Services: The amount of requests that flooded the entire Business team these past two months certainly did not do Family Services any favors but we are extremely grateful for their patience in working with us to ensure that requests were fulfilled and our programs were able to operate smoothly. We absolutely appreciate you and look forward to making this easier next year. Thank you!

Cafeteria: The cafeteria staff did a tremendous job throughout the entire month and provided our families with deluxe meals and snacks for our Family Weekend Retreat families and Summer Camp participants. Thank you!

Human Resources: The HR team were instrumental in making sure that we were able to fill our staffing needs for the different programs we had throughout the summer months, addressing CAPPS issues and troubleshooting the many different challenges that needed support. Thank you!

Outreach Center: Your knowledge with running summer camps and programs gave us the blueprint needed to be successful. Your team helped spread awareness to students and families outside of the TSD Community brought a large number of first-time campers!

Our collaboration has been extremely successful as we continue growing and building capacity for our TSD and non-TSD families through resource sharing. To many more future success, but for today, THANK YOU!

Instructional: the DOI and Principals supported us through allowing us use of the classrooms and facilities that were needed on campus throughout Family Weekend Retreat and Summer Camps. Our guests appreciated the immersive experience.

Security: The Security Team was always available to lend support when asked. With the amount of extra visitors we had on campus throughout the month, the Security team did a tremendous job of welcoming our guests while also maintaining a very safe campus. Thank you!

And last but not least, a huge appreciation goes out to all of the TSD staff who volunteered or worked in some capacity throughout Family Weekend Retreat and/or Summer Camps/Programs. Your time with us allowed us the opportunity to create memories and experiences that our families, campers and guests will carry for a lifetime.
