☀️🤖 Summer Robotics & Coding Fun is Here! 🤖☀️

This week, our preschool engineers are continuing their coding adventures with Botzee! Students are reviewing how to program Botzee using tablets by connecting coding commands together to make their robot move, react, and complete exciting challenges. Through play-based learning, students are practicing sequencing, problem-solving, and early coding skills in a fun and hands-on way!

For our second activity, students are exploring our various coding games on the tablets. These interactive games help strengthen critical thinking, directions, patterns, and technology confidence while learning alongside their favorite coding characters! 🎮📱

We are also excited to announce that NEW robotics lessons officially begin the first week of June! 🚀 We have so many exciting builds, coding activities, and robot adventures planned for the summer season.

Families can stay informed each week through our social media posts and weekly newsletters where we will review classroom lessons, activities, and all the fun happening in robotics class!

🚨 Tuesday is looking AMAZING with Dash the Alien Robot! 👽🤖

Our engineers are programming Dash and adjusting his variables to move safely through a field of black cats! 🐈⬛ But wait… wanna know a secret? Dash is TERRIFIED of black cats! Yikes! 😱

Good thing our coders know exactly what to do! Students are making a quick fix to Dash’s variables — a special storage location for our robot’s data — so he can overcome his fear and complete his mission with confidence! 💻✨

Keeping with our animal theme this week, we’re also spreading kindness in our Wild Kratts coding adventure! 🦁🌎 Our engineers are programming their Wild Kratts characters through exciting mazes to rescue the baby animals in need! 🐾🐘🐯

🤖💻 HAPPY TECHIE TUESDAY! 💻🤖
Why did the robot go to school after Mother’s Day weekend? Because it wanted to improve its motherboard skills! 😂⚡

We hope all of our amazing Techie families had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! 🌸💖 Today we jumped right back into robotics and coding fun with one of our favorite robot friends — Indi the Racecar! 🚗💨

This week’s lesson focused on debugging Indi’s path. In coding, debugging means finding and fixing mistakes in a program so the robot can complete the correct actions successfully. Our students became junior engineers by carefully analyzing Indi’s route, spotting where the “bugs” happened, and then reprogramming his path to make better sense! 🛠️🧠

Using color-coded tiles, students practiced:
✨ Sequencing
✨ Problem-solving
✨ Logical thinking
✨ Directional coding
✨ Cause & effect
✨ Creative engineering skills

Our students worked together to test solutions, make predictions, and improve Indi’s movements step-by-step — just like real programmers and robotics engineers do every day! 🤩🚦

For our Advanced Coding Class, students continued their debugging skills inside our coding-friendly program Code Hour 💻🎮. They worked through coding challenges by finding errors in their programs and correcting commands to complete each level successfully. This activity strengthened:
🔹 Computational thinking
🔹 Coding accuracy
🔹 Persistence through trial & error
🔹 Digital problem-solving
🔹 Creative coding strategies

Today’s curriculum encouraged students to think critically, communicate ideas, and use creativity to solve technology-based challenges in fun and hands-on ways! 🚀✨

With our summer session right around the corner, we’re excitedly wrapping up an incredible spring semester filled with creativity, problem-solving, and lots of fun!

This week in Lesson 5.4, our students helped Colby the Mouse travel through constellations and planets using challenge cards—putting their coding and sequencing skills to the test as they navigated each mission. 🚀🌟

We also had so much fun playing the Robot Turtles board game! Students followed step-by-step commands to guide their robot turtle to the gem, with each level getting trickier by adding obstacles and even math challenges along the way. 🐢💎

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for your continued support—it truly means so much to us. We’ve loved seeing your kiddos grow in confidence and creativity! Be sure to ask them what they learned this week—we promise they’ll have lots to share! 💬💡

🚀 Happy Monday! Our technology class is off to an out-of-this-world start as we join Botzee the Robot on his intergalactic mission to Planet Pai! 🤖✨

Students are diving into block-based programming, guiding Botzee through challenges that build the foundations of coding. This introductory lesson strengthens logical thinking, sequencing, and debugging skills as students begin to understand how code works.

But the learning didn’t stop there… we also put on our scientist hats! 🧪🌍 Students explored gravity and mass by testing their hypotheses with falling objects. They made predictions, observed results, and discovered how gravity affects objects regardless of size—bringing real-world science concepts to life right before their eyes!

This engaging, hands-on learning hits our STEM targets by:
🔹 Developing computational thinking through coding
🔹 Practicing the scientific method with real experiments
🔹 Strengthening problem-solving and critical thinking skills
🔹 Making connections between science, technology, and math

We kicked off the week with some seriously creative engineering! Today, our students designed their own versions of a “spooky castle” 🏰👻 and built unique obstacle courses for Dash, who bravely explored a super dark, super scary cave! 🌑🕷️

Through these hands-on projects, students are strengthening essential STEM skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and basic coding. As they design, test, and improve their creations, they’re also learning about sequencing, spatial awareness, and teamwork.

It’s amazing to see their imaginations come to life while building confidence in science, technology, engineering, and math. Way to go, robotics crew! 💡🚀
