John Luke Lessons

John Luke Lessons I offer quality, student-oriented guitar lessons to the Austin area. In addition to my independent teaching practice, I am the lead guitarist of The Band GOOD.

I have a degree in music (guitar concentration) from Texas State University, and I studied jazz for much of my time there, working with and learning from their world-class faculty. You can hear my playing and arranging on our debut EP "This Is For You," and our single "Bill Murray," available on all streaming platforms. If you have an interest in learning how to play guitar, or continuing your gui

tar journey, I'd love to be your teacher. If you want to take a more educational path with your playing, I can teach you how to read music, help you delve into the world of music theory, and prepare you for any audition you may need to do. Whatever your goals are, I'm here to help you achieve them. Lessons are typically held at the student's home. Weekly hour-long lessons are strongly recommended. The rate is $45 per hour.
