Today, students took the ASVAB test!📝 We will have another round of testing in February. If your scholar is interested, they can add their name to the interest list with Ms. Cordero in the front office.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a test that helps students identify their skills, strengths, and career interests. It can also helps them explore different career pathways, including technical and vocational fields and, for those who are interested, options within the U.S. Armed Forces.

¡Hoy, los estudiantes presentaron el examen ASVAB!📝 Tendremos otra ronda de exámenes en febrero. Si su estudiante está interesado(a), puede agregar su nombre a la lista de interés con la Srta. Cordero en la oficina principal.

El ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) es un examen que ayuda a los estudiantes a identificar sus habilidades, fortalezas e intereses profesionales. También les permite explorar diferentes opciones de carreras, incluyendo áreas técnicas, vocacionales y, para quienes estén interesados, opciones dentro de las Fuerzas Armadas de los Estados Unidos.

📢 ASVAB Testing Tomorrow 📢

The ASVAB test will take place tomorrow at 8:30 AM in the Media Lab. Letters have already been sent home with scholars who signed up to take the test.

If your scholar would like to take the ASVAB tomorrow and has not signed up yet, please email Mrs. Mayne at [email protected] before 9:00 PM tonight.

If we run out of slots for tomorrow, another ASVAB testing day will be offered in February. More information will be shared soon.

What is the ASVAB?
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a career exploration test that helps students learn about their strengths, skills, and career options. Taking the ASVAB is a great tool for career planning and self, discovery.

📢 Examen ASVAB Mañana 📢

El examen ASVAB se llevará a cabo mañana a las 8:30 a.m. en el centro de computación.
Las cartas ya fueron enviadas a casa con los estudiantes que se registraron para tomar el examen.

Si su estudiante desea tomar el ASVAB mañana y aún no se ha registrado, por favor envíe un correo electrónico a la Sra. Mayne al [email protected] de las 9:00 p.m. de hoy.

Si se llenan los espacios para mañana, habrá otra fecha de examen ASVAB en febrero. Más información se compartirá próximamente.

¿Qué es el ASVAB?
El ASVAB (Batería de Aptitudes Vocacionales de las Fuerzas Armadas) es un examen de exploración vocacional que ayuda a los estudiantes a conocer sus habilidades, fortalezas y opciones de carrera. Tomar el ASVAB es una excelente herramienta para la planificación de carrera.

ACC Application Day is this Wednesday, December 3rd! 🎓 Seniors applying to and planning to attend ACC, make sure your application is completed and bring a government-issued ID. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Mayne or Mrs. Andrew.

Austin Public Health will be on campus with a FREE mobile clinic! 🎉
11th and 12th geade student can get the meningitis vaccine (required for college apps) and updated shot records.

Mrs. Andrew had the amazing opportunity to take a few of our students to Huston-Tillotson University for their Preview Day!

They got a firsthand look at college life, met current students and staff, explored academic programs, and soaked in the energy of HT’s beautiful campus. Watching them get inspired about their future and seeing their confidence grow made the trip so worth it!
We love exposing our students to HBCU excellence and showing them that college is within reach.

🎓 October was an eventful month for our College Completion team! From hosting our College & Career Fair to supporting our alumni Class of 2025 as they prepare for the spring semester, we’ve been busy helping our scholars move one step closer to their college dreams. 💫
