Plan on studying for your GED or want to get prepared for college level classes this summer? We have online classes that will help you learn on your schedule. Austin Adult Learning is doing it's third annual "Community Connections" Program and we're looking for volunteers. Our friendly, hard working English Language adult students desire to practice their speaking and listening skills with English speakers. Community Connections pairs them with a volunteer to work with once a month for about 50 minutes for conversation. Another goal of the program is to build relationships between Austin community members and our immigrant population. Shared stories and lives impact all participants. Past volunteers talk about this experience being one of their favorite times of their year. Sessions are all planned out of participants, there's nothing you need to prep. Community Interpreter Course
January 26- March 2

This FREE course prepares students to become certified community interpreters. It is an interactive, online training in English and is a prerequisite to the National Certification. Students must be fluent in English and a second language to participate. Passing the certification exam at the end of the course is required to receive the certification.

In-person (or live Zoom) math class for those who are working towards their GED or need to brush up on math for college level math classes. Mark your calendars for one of the three registration days coming up!

Our CNA Prep Class is for students who want a good foundation of CNA vocabulary and class content before taking the CNA class, to ensure success. This course is FREE live, online. Students will need a computer, we**am, and internet. Register and take the entrance testing Wednesday, Nov 5 at 9:00AM or 4:00PM at Riverland Community College, East Building, Room C138.
