Shout out! 2 McCombs accounting students were recently named Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Scholars. A huge congratulations to Calla Carlson, BBA '26 and MPA '27, and Sarah Hammond, BBA '26 and MPA '27 for this huge accomplishment! Read more:

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) today announced that 677 students, nominated by their U.S. colleges and universities, have been selected to each receive a $15,000 merit-based scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Before she was able to walk the stage to accept her McCombs degree, Savitha Shan met a tragic end as a victim of the March 1 mass shooting in Austin. Her parents have established the Savitha Shan Endowed Scholarship to help inspire other students to achieve the dream she wasn't able to complete.
