Meet The Mosaic Workshop: Cristell 🧵🌸

Originally from the Bronx, NY, Cristell is originally a fiber artist, but toys with many mediums! From sewing and textiles to soap making and mosaics, she’s a creative through and through.

🌸 Cristell previously ran her own small business creating jewelry with preserved flowers! Her creativity has taken many forms over the years, but fiber arts remain at the heart of what she loves to make.

🧵 Outside the studio, you can usually find Cristell sewing, crafting, or counting down the days until her favorite time of year: Halloween!! 🎃

Meet The Mosaic Workshop: Heather 🦉✨
Studio Assistant & Instructor
IG: Heather Schexnaydre Kruger

Originally from New Orleans, Heather has been creating mosaics for over 25 years and teaching the art form for the last decade. Her love of art extends beyond mosaics too! While planning her wedding, she took up calligraphy and learned several styles, including Hebrew! ✒️

🖼️ Heather specializes in meaningful mosaic commissions like memorial pieces, headstones, and engagement and anniversary gifts 💒 Heather loves and is inspired by Art Deco and the work of her favorite artist, Erté.

Outside the studio, Heather loves traveling to big cities, admiring architecture 🏛️(especially mid-century modern), arranging flowers, and wandering through historic cemeteries in search of the oldest headstones. Heather says if she had a spirit animal would be an owl!🦉

“Birds & Blue Skies”
📍Justice Center, Los Alamos, NM

Earlier this month, our crew headed out to Los Alamos, New Mexico Los Alamos County to host a community mural tiling day!!
The community placed over 60,000 TILES 🧩 over 3 days to make this piece and it turned out incredible 💫

BIG shoutout to our team members Maggie, Joey, Yuki, J for heading out and leading this workday! Y’all are awesome 🗣️
