I talked to my mom we decided that I would type while she told me the story. So there goes nothing, when I was a new born baby I slept more then my brother and sister. All of my developing happened in twice the time it should have. What I mean is instead of sitting up at six months I first sat up at 1 year. I crawled at 1 year and walked at 2 years. I started talking at 2 -3 years and my vocabulary was small. My mom says I cried for long periods of time very often. That and my delays were what told her something was different then my brother and sister. She had me tested for every developmental area but got nowhere she was, however told that because of my delays I should have therapy of the following type: speech, cognitive, physical, occupational, play, and social. The speech and physical I got at school. The others my mom took me to. I got most of theses therapies until 5th grade meantime she took me to pediatrician, a pediatric neurologist, child occupational therapist. They did CT scan of my head. It was negative, but all the other tests showed my delays. I had speech and OT on and off through out school even in high school. I attended two years of Kindergarten and two years of 12th grade. Otherwise expect for being pulled out of class for different therapist by my mom or the school, I had a pretty regular / normal school career. I am now 26 years old, I don’t drive but I do have a really good job that I get paid well for. I take care of a boy who has a form of Autism called Fragile X, which is a very sever form of Autism. It is challenging work but I love him. He is now 21yrs old and I’ve worked with him since he was 13.I stopped working with him in January 2013 , started a job at a Montessori School, am I'm loving it :)
In middle school I played the Flute. All through school I was on the special Olympic bowling team. I got good grades and enjoyed school for the most part. I have had a couple of semesters of college. I only got 1 credit. I have a family who loves me every much, we are a close family.
