Sandra is competing in the "2026 Favorite Chef" competition, a nationwide contest celebrating talented culinary professionals and educators. The winner receives $25,000, a feature in Taste of Home magazine, and the opportunity to cook with celebrity chef Carla Hall.

👩‍🍳 WE’RE HIRING!

Young Chefs Academy is a hands-on culinary school for kids, and we’re growing! We’re looking for energetic, reliable team members who love working with children in a fun, structured environment.

Must be over 21 and be able to reliably commute to south Austin (Oakhill).

We are currently hiring for the following part-time roles:

🎉 Party Leads (Weekends)
Lead 90-minute birthday parties from start to finish.
Create a fun, engaging experience while following our proven party scripts and managing party flow, timing, and cleanup.

☀️ Summer Culinary Camp Leads
Oversee 3-hour drop-off culinary camps for kids.
Ensure campers engaged, on schedule, and learning through hands-on cooking activities.

👩‍🍳 Lead Culinary Instructor (afternoons/evenings/weekends)
Lead hands-on culinary classes for ages 4 and up.
Work with assistants to ensure smooth and timely classes that maximize hands-on experience.
Engage and manage groups of children in a positive, structured way.
Follow curriculum and scripts to deliver a consistent experience.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
