ATTN AUSTIN'S HOBBY MUSICIANS! - The next Jam Room ATX session begins September 13, and we’re putting together bands for our Halloween showcase on October 31 at Hanovers!

If you’ve ever wanted to play in a band, or you used to play and have been looking for a reason to get back into it, this is what Jam Room is all about.

We’re an adult band program in Austin that puts hobby musicians together based on musical interests, instruments and availability. You rehearse as a band for six weeks, build a set together, and at the end of the session, you take it to the stage.

This session will include several different styles and themes, including:

🎸 Punk Rock
🪩 Dance Party
🔥 Classic Rock
⚡ Alternative
🎃 Dark, bluesy & Halloween-inspired rock
🤘 Hard Rock
🎷 Blues

We currently have openings for vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums. You don’t have to already have a band - that’s the whole point! We put the bands together.

FAQs

💰 How much is it?
The full 6-week session plus the showcase is $250.

🎶 What does that include?
• 6 weekly band rehearsals
• A band coach/director
• Song resources and rehearsal materials
• Band photo shoot
• Your own band poster
• A spot in the Jam Room Halloween Show at Hanovers Draught Haus on October 31

🎤 Do I need to be an advanced musician?
No! Jam Room is for adult musicians at a variety of experience levels. You should know the basics of your instrument or voice and be able to work on songs between rehearsals, but you definitely do not need to be a professional.

🙋 Who is this good for?
People who played years ago and want to start again.
People who practice at home but have never played in a band.
Musicians who want to meet other musicians.
People who already play regularly and just want another fun project.

Basically, if you miss playing music with people, come play with us.

AMATEUR GUITARISTS - GET OFF THE COUCH AND ON STAGE!
We're looking for hobby musicians of Austin to fill out our bands for the upcoming 90's SUMMER FEST, August 15th at Hanovers!

Rehearsals begin next week at 4800 S. 1st St (South) and 7607 Carriage Drive (North).
