ACE is now accepting applications for our Board of Directors and Associate Board!

We’re looking for passionate industry professionals who are eager to make an impact by supporting and mentoring the next generation of AEC students. Serving on the ACE board is a unique opportunity to give back, strengthen our industry pipeline, and help shape the future of our program.

Last week, we celebrated an incredible conclusion to the 2025–2026 ACE school year! While our final event was a celebration of how far we’ve come, the true success of the program lived in the dedication shown behind the scenes every single week. We want to start by acknowledging the families who navigated schedules and traffic to get their students to and from our sessions, the mentors and volunteers who showed up with passion after a full day at work, and most importantly, the students who came hungry to learn and ready to build their futures.

All of that hard work culminated in a spectacular final showcase where families, students, and professionals gathered to witness our students’ creativity in action. The teams presented an iconic mixed-use skyscraper designed to redefine Austin’s skyline and breathe new life into a brownfield site, proving just how much talent is entering our industry.

The evening concluded on a high note as we awarded $54,000 in scholarships to our outstanding students. These life-changing awards were made possible by the incredible generosity of our partner companies and donors, whose investment is directly empowering the next steps of these future AEC leaders. Congratulations to all of our scholarship recipients. ACE is so proud to support your journey, and we look forward to the boundless opportunities ahead!

The timing couldn’t be better, as last night was our final ACE session before the big finale next week. These busy bees are working hard to cross the finish line- finalizing hand-made models, 3D renders, site plans, and full construction schedules. We can’t wait to show you what they’ve built!

Our students had an incredible hands‑on trades day with The Door Company, Lasco Drywall, The Demo Company, and Weifield Electrical. They jumped into building walls, installing door frames and hardware, and then watched the pros tear it all back down.
 
They also got an inside look at the electrical gear powering data centers across the country and checked out some heavy equipment.

Our ACE students headed to the TxDMV Camp Hubbard construction site for an incredible field experience. Huge thanks to Rich Maynard, Project Director at Flintco, for leading the tour and showing us how this innovative, collaborative office design is coming to life.

Our ACE students had a productive studio session this week, moving their designs off the paper and into 3D with hand-built models. Watching these future architects and engineers troubleshoot stability and scale in real-time is what the design process is all about!
