We are so very sad to announce that our beloved Dr. Christopher Adejumo has passed away.
Dr. Adejumo was a true friend and mentor to so many of us. He was a vital member of the AVAA Board for more than 2 decades, and the director of our sponsored project The Greater Tomorrow Youth Art Program (GTYAP) for 20 years. He was a tenured University of Texas art professor. As an artist, arts advocate, and educator, he made a huge impact within the Austin arts community. He will be so deeply missed.
His memorial service will be live streamed on Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. from the Cook Walden Pflugerville website at this link below. There is limited capacity at the funeral home. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/11590089?utm_source=obit_link&utm_medium=text
