Frozen Friday at Ross F. Baldwin Elementary! ❄️🍓🥭🍋‍🟩

Earlier this school year, Cara, a 5th grader and Student Council President, reached out to AISD with a creative idea to bring Frozen Fridays to our school. While AISD couldn’t bring her original vision to life exactly as planned, our executive chef offered some fresh alternatives.

After a student council vote, the result was a delicious win for all! As part of Friday’s lunch, students enjoyed freshly prepared sorbet with a choice of strawberry, strawberry mango, or mango lime.

We love seeing student leaders take initiative and we’re proud to collaborate on a fun, healthy option that the whole school could enjoy!

Our Career Fair is approaching, and we are still looking for a few more guest speakers to share their passion with our students.

We are specifically looking for volunteers in:

It’s Gifted and Talented Students Week and every year we work to increase awareness and support for gifted education in Texas! In Austin ISD, our GT services are designed to support K-12 students who have exceptional talents and unique learning needs. These students come from all backgrounds, including those who are learning multiple languages or who have disabilities or learning differences.
We encourage our community to learn more about GT students and their needs and to recognize the wonderful contributions they make every day in our classrooms and to the world!
