The name of our capoeira angola group is Crianças de Capoeira Angola. Because it is an infinite art, we are all still like children learning it, even as many of us have near 20 or more years studying, training and playing the game. Mestre Joao Grande, in his 90’s and the grand master of Capoeira Angola, always says he is still learning from his students and always will.
We move like children, free and often upside down . We learn to sing and play instruments and all of these things contribute to our holistic health and healing we get from the art.
Yes it is a martial art, but it is so much more than that and the well is as deep as you’d like to drink from.
There is joy here my friends and if you hear capoeira angola calling out to you, answer the call and be forever changed.
