Just throwing the Child Find mandate out there, just in case it’s been forgotten.

Child Find is not optional, it’s not flexible, and it’s definitely not something we can “wait and see” our way around.

Federal law requires schools to identify, locate, and evaluate students suspected of having disabilities. Not after more data. Not after another round of interventions. Not after months of watching the gap grow.

If a disability is suspected, the obligation is clear: evaluate.

We cannot keep training schools to delay, we cannot keep normalizing “wait for growth” when the data is flat or inconsistent, and we cannot keep putting systems over students.

Every delay has a cost, and it’s paid by the child.

It's thinking and reporting like this that I've been fighting against for my entire adult life. Hey, The Atlantic, you got this one WRONG! Students with learning disabilities are not gaming the system. Just trying to find the same success as their neurotypical peers. As we learn more about various learning differences, we learn more about what helps their success. Colleges should support all students' success. Sorry, it's more work for professors, but didn't they get into teaching to help students (all students) LEARN!!! I AM LIVID!!! https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/2026/01/elite-university-student-accommodation/684946/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cr&utm_campaign=2024_Content_ContentTestingII_Prospecting_Sales_Advantage&utm_content=120225_EliteCollegesExtraTime_NA_NA_NoCTA&utm_term=ContentTestingII_Advantage&referral=FB_PAID&utm_id=6581568102677&fbclid=IwY2xjawPtuf5leHRuA2FlbQEwAGFkaWQAAAY8ompfhWJyaWQRMVNYaXdnMm9SRk14YUU4ZnhzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeasQItnk6hjB2lM9WExnWU-G_JC3Al8R8jKtEkEFUysejSPQadMrWWjrcG3k_aem_V7UZ2cy1ZV9KrSZ71G3lyQ&campaign_id=6581568102677&ad_id=6842459910677

It is your right to speak up. TELL YOUR TRUTH!

As millions of Americans gather today in what will likely become the largest day of peaceful protest in our nation's history, we honor the extraordinary courage of Minnesotans who refused to be silenced during the first No Kings Day in June.

In the early hours of June 14, Representative Melissa Hortman -- a 55-year-old Democratic leader in the Minnesota House -- was assassinated at her home alongside her husband Mark in a politically motivated attack by a far-right extremist. With the killer still at large and an active manhunt underway, authorities urged residents to stay home.

They came anyway.

Tens of thousands of Minnesotans flooded the State Capitol in St. Paul, refusing to let a heinous act of political violence silence their voices or keep them from standing up for democracy when it mattered most.

As Indivisible Twin Cities observed: "The day started with tragedy and political violence in Minnesota. Instead of being scared, neighbors SHOWED UP to stand together. We packed the Capitol Mall all the way to the Cathedral -- an estimated 80,000+ strong. So proud of our state."

In the face of unspeakable horror, Minnesota showed the nation what democracy looks like: not the absence of fear, but the courage to show up anyway.

Today, it's your turn to show up and let your voice be heard. To find one of the 2,500 No Kings protests and events being held today, visit https://www.nokings.org/
