The LSAT exam will be undergoing major changes in August 2024. Whether you excel at Logic Games may play a part in your decision to take the exam early next year or next fall. Read more about the LSAT's requirements, both now and in the future: https://www.austinlsat.com/about-the-lsat
Although we understand the purpose behind the Logic Games, we support in the LSAC in its decision to end the Games as being heavy on visual presentation and therefore disadvantaging to unsighted test-takers.

Big news: The analytical reasoning on the LSAT exam will be gone in 2024. Better known as the "logic games," that section will be replaced with an additional logical reasoning section in August 2024.

From the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) press release:
"The August 2024 update is backed by rigorous research, including analysis of over 200,000 test sessions, ensuring the test's reliability and validity. The research confirms that the revised approach would have virtually no impact on overall scores. The research also confirms that the revised approach will have virtually no impact on the strong correlation between LSAT test scores and first-year law school success."

From the article:
"Kirstin Theis-Alvarez, dean of admissions at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, said that some people may be tempted to wait until next year to take the LSAT because they think the new version will be easier. 'I've seen the data—it won't,' she said."
Law School Admission Test to drop 'logic games' questions from exam
The Law School Admission Test will ditch the so-called “logic games” section of the exam in 2024, according to the organization that creates the test, marking a major change to the exam's content.

Recommendation: If you have the option, choose a test center to take your LSAT exam, in preference to the online version.
> September LSAT exam: "At least several hundred" remote test takers were disconnected from their exams due to an 10-15 minute outage - "nearly all" but not all were to complete their exams. No word on if these test-takers were allowed extended testing times to make up for the time lost.

> August LSAT exam: ~5,000 remote LSAT takers were locked out of the test or faced hours-long delays while connecting with proctors, because not enough proctors being available.

Be aware that if more people choose in-person testing, fewer testing center slots will be available. Register as soon as you believe that you are prepared to take the exam - and take your preparation very, very seriously, because you may have less flexibility to register for a later date.

What law schools look for can differ from what employers are most interested in. Recruiters tend to grab the resume that jumps out at them from the pile, and then move on quickly. In contrast, law school admissions committee members take the time to carefully review each resume. The resume that you provide with your law school application should provide a summary of your relevant experiences....emphasis on RELEVANT to law school.
